About
From the Heart of Washington is a public awareness campaign designed to increase consumer demand for Washington state food and agricultural products. It is facilitated by the Washington State Department of Agriculture, and advised by a diverse board whose membership consists of governmental, food industry, and small farm interests statewide.
By partnering with local growers, retailers, consumers, and allied industries, From the Heart of Washington serves as the touchstone to hundreds of the best locally-grown and made products.
From the Heart of Washington has gained recognition and support since commencing in 2001. It continues efforts to heighten awareness of and increase dependency upon the Washington state agricultural industry. Such accomplishments positively impact the statešs economy, and help improve our statešs quality of life and environment.
The program also helps retailers promote Washington grown products to consumers through signage and branding programs, which make Washington products easier for consumers to identify at the point of purchase.
You can make a difference in the future of Washingtonšs agriculture and food processing industry by buying and promoting Washington products whenever possible.
