About
Our farm has been family owned since the 1970's and is currently being converted to organic vegetable production in conjunction with the already existing native plant nursery and forestry research farm. Currently we have about 10-15 acres in vegetable production/cover crop rotation and just planted 5 acres of blueberries. We are growing MANY vegetables and varieties, from arugula to watermelons. We focus on growing high quality, nutritious vegetables that are picked fresh and marketed directly.
WE ARE CURRENTLY FULL. Please contact Elizabeth to be put on the waiting list. Our CSA runs from the first week of June through the week before Thanksgiving. Every week includes lettuce heads or mix, an allium (onions, shallots, leeks) plus fruit, herbs around and two-eight additional vegetables depending on the season. Garlic and potatoes are about every other week once mature. In 2009 we also began including fresh and dried beans such as black turtle, cranberry and cannellini beans. We include lots of diversity with both staples and less familiar vegetables, many heirloom varieties. Each week has a newsletter with farm news and recipes. Members will be invited to two farm tours/events. Our best produce goes straight in your CSA box!.
