PLANNING TO ADD MORE SHARES IN 2011. TAKING DOWN INTEREST NOW AND GIVING INFORMATION TO THOSE INTERESTED. Grandma's garden is a small one-woman farm using old-fashioned, organic techniques. Heirloom varieties are highlighted, along with specialty produce. CSA subscribers will be treated to the makings of delicious, gourmet meals. E-newsletters will describe the weekly store of produce and give great recipes and ideas. The season will run twenty weeks from June 8th to October 19th. Five full shares are available for $400 each. Each box will contain enough to satisfy a very veggie eating family, or shares can be divided among friends. Some of the best crops are heirloom tomatoes, big onions, leeks, garlic, specialty potatoes, hot peppers, herbs and colored carrots.
Grandma's Garden will be open to personalizing boxes for preference, along with letting early subscribers help decide on some of the crops. Humane animal treatment is very important to Grandma's Garden. No bone or blood meal, etc, are used, and manures and fertilizers are only from naturally raised, well-treated animals. Very little engine power goes into working the field. I am committed to helping improve the way Americans eat. Choose local, fresh, healthy real food! Tours are welcome when arranged.
