About
Thorn Crest is a small, family owned, sustainable farm that provides a diverse amount of fresh produce grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. Our farm has been chemical free for 22 years.
For the 2010 growing season we are excited to offer an increased number of CSA shares. Starting in late May and running through October, members receive a weekly share of fresh picked vegetables. Some weeks will also include fresh herbs, fruit and flowers when in season. Shares start out light but increase quickly with the season to supply enough produce for an average family of four (over a bushel during peak season).
Pick your own opportunities for certain crops are included, at no additional charge, for those who wish to pick larger amounts for preserving.
Full member shares should supply an average family of four throughout the growing season (about a 1/2 bushel size to over a bushel at peak season/ will very some each week) with healthy, chemical free, freshly picked, produce, herbs, fruit and occasional flowers from the cutting garden. Pick your own opportunities for larger amounts are available for canning and preserving at "no" additional charge. Our many years of growing experience help ensure a full ,diverse harvest throughout the season.
