Located on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada, at the 2400' elevation, Bakbraken Acres specializes in extreme quality vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Warms days, cool nights, snow melt water, living soil and care result in a premium product.
We are an organic, sustainable, community-minded farm specializing in vegetables, especially onions, garlic, tomatoes, greens, eggplant, peppers, potatoes, berries, squashes, herbs, beans, and more. We have a bio-diesel tractor, a natural spring that provides our water, compost, compost toilets, chickens, and a close connection to our farm ecosystem and local community. We sell at many of the local farmer's markets, and to local restaurants and markets.
