About
Arcata Plaza Farmers Market, CFM, The North Coast Growers’ Association Farmers’ Market was established in 1979 by a handful of farmers. They began selling from the back of their trucks in the vacant lot at the foot of F and 7th Streets in Arcata. This is our 31st Season and now we have over 100 members. Membership in the NCGA is open to residents of Humboldt County. The Saturday Arcata Plaza Market will open April 10, 2010 at 9am.
Through the years, the Plaza was more often the nucleus of good times. It was a natural ball park, a gathering place for town and national celebrations of holidays, the scene of huge 4th of July bonfires, of bicycle races, parades, Easter egg hunts, concerts, theatricals and fairs and the annual salmon bake.
