MapleLeaf Farm is a small farm located in Millerville, Alabama. It focuses on producing high quality catfish on a local basis.
At MapleLeaf Farm all of our ponds are fed from year round crystal clear spring water. Our spring water continually pours fresh water into all of our ponds, giving our fish a wonderful clean consistent taste. The taste comes from our fish being flushed, non-stop, with fresh water. Standing water produces ammonia build up and over-productive algae blooms, which are the two main causes of off flavor in the commercial catfish industry. Off flavor equals bad tasting fish. Here at MapleLeaf Farm we have a unique advantage of year round spring water flowing through our ponds to bring you the best catfish available.
At MapleLeaf Farm we offer catfish fillets and whole catfish. Our product is vacuum sealed and frozen for superior quality. MapleLeaf Farm is inspected by the FDA and is HACCP compliant for seafood. HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points. HACCP is a FDA sponsored program that teaches critical food safety and processing procedures.MapleLeaf Farm is a small company owned and operated by Tim McLean and Andrew Baker.
