Business Detailed:  We plant our largest garlic bulbs each year in the fall before the weather turns cold. This allows the plants to develop a good root system for next springs growth. Harvest usually starts right after summer soltice, when the top growth begins to turn brown. The bulbs are harvested and bunched, then hung to dry and cure for two to three weeks. The tops are then removed and the bulbs sorted and graded for size. We sell garlic bulbs by size. Our everyday garlic is 1.5 - 2 inch in diamiter, our red ribbon garlic is 2 - 2.5 inch in diamitor, and our Blue ribbon garlic is 2.5 - 3 inch in diamiter. With our premium gourmet garlic over 3 inchs in diamiter.
