Business Detailed:  Living Land Farm is a vegetable farm located 3 miles east of St. Peter in the terraces of the Minnesota River Valley. We are a CSA farm and also sell wholesale to the St. Peter Food Co-op and sell at the Mankato farmers market. The farm will be run full time by Adam Ellefson with much additional summer help from Lupita. She teaches spanish in nearby Cleveland, MN and fortunately her time off dovetails nicely with the busy time on the farm. We also have a 3 year old son Adan who is strong as an ox and wants to help mama and papa whenever he can. We are a new farm with 2010 being the first growing season. We are extremely excited to be able to start farming this next year. We have been working towards this goal for many years and are committed to making this farm one that will last for many generations. We won't be officially certified organic until June of 2012, but we will be growing everything using organic standards until that day. We are looking to establish a small CSA with a great group of members who will want to get connected with a farm that they feel they can become a part of. We have been CSA members with farms in the past and these have been some of our most beloved relationships we have ever had. Our farmers have become our good friends. This is what we would like to establish here in St. Peter. We want to have a great relationship with our members, with potlucks, and farm celebrations being a big part of being a member.
