Get a basket of the freshest produce for an 18 week season (June 12 to October 9, 2010), or by the week. Baskets will contain a variety of seasonal produce, recipes, and preparation tips, as well as occasional specialty items such as honey or jam. *Baskets are only $25 dollars a week. Each basket is filled with fresh and local produce to feed a family of two-four for a week. Baskets must be picked up at the East Lake Farmers Market on Saturdays. Order as a group, and find several people in a group or agency who are willing to share in picking the baskets up! (NEW IN 2009: MARKET BASKET PROGRAM OFFERING DROP OFF SITES AROUND THE BIRMINGHAM AREA. CALL US TO FIND A DROP OFF SITE NEAR YOU!!) $25 per basket or $400 for the season. The fee for the baskets can be paid in 3 installments throughout the season.
