Welcome to our boutique family winery located in the heart of the Napa Valley in St. Helena, California. We invite you to visit us and experience Napa Valley the way it used to be. Founded in 1998, the partnership of Rich & Carol Martucci and Julie & Kosta Arger (pictured above, from left to right) combines passion and patience with our promise to make handcrafted wines of the finest quality. Situated in a cozy, homelike setting, enjoy tasting wine at our accomodating “kitchen counter." Our friendly tasting room staff, headed by Anthony Arger and Vincent Martucci, family members from the next generation, will pour wines of your choice from our Tasting Menu.
Our Vineyards, planted on gentle hillsides at 1,350 feet above the valley floor in the Atlas Peak District, give us a consistent source for the finest Napa Valley fruit. Our limited-production varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Petite Syrah, Viognier, Iliad (proprietary white blend) and Rosé of Cabernet we call Saigniée Sauvage. Our proprietary reserve we call Odyssey is a limited production Cabernet meritage that is blended each vintage from the finest barrels in our cellar. In addition, when the weather conditions are just right, we produce a late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc dessert wine we named Dulcinea.
Following in the footsteps of his mentor Joe Heitz of Heitz Cellars, Owner/Winemaker Dr. Kosta Arger is a firm believer in holding back red varietals to allow for sufficient bottle age before release. As a Cardiologist, he knows "a lot can happen in five or ten years" and wants to make sure that when our wines are released, they are "drinkable, enjoyable and ready for consumption." The current vintage for our Bordeaux and Burgundy varietals is 2005. With the additional time in bottle, we are confident you will enjoy these elegant and complex wines.
