We companion plant, green manure and "cook" our own compost from our livestock's manure and garden wastes. We focus on heirloom and rare varieties, and save our own seed. Our season begins with early greens from unheated hoophouses in April. We offer a wide variety of produce and herbs through the growing season.
We are not certified organic but follow organic practices, and firmly believe in the "know your grower" philosophy. We encourage farm visits and are beginning to bring organic ideas to local schools through visiting classrooms and helping kids to start and nurture their own heirloom tomatoes.
