A CSA (or Community Supported Agriculture) is an arrangement between a farm and its customers in which customers pay up-front for a full season’s worth of produce and receive a share each week of what is harvested on the farm. CSA programs benefit us by providing up-front dollars (to buy supplies, equipment, etc.) as well as a guaranteed market for what we grow. They benefit you by providing a convenient weekly share of delicious vegetables, an opportunity to cook creatively with what’s in season, and a deep connection to the source of your food.
How much does it cost?
We are offering a full-share which will run 25 weeks (May 15th thru October 31st) and cost $700. This comes out to around $30 of fresh vegetables each week. Payment can be made in full when you send in your application OR you may include a deposit of $200 with your application and pay the balance at our first pickup. While we do appreciate up-front payment, we do not want the payment schedule to deter anyone from joining. Please contact us and we can make an arrangement that will work for both of us.
You will have two pickup options to choose from, however we are still figuring out the details. One will be towards the beginning of the week and the other towards the end. One will be at a farmers’ market in Cleveland and the other will be at one of our farms. Both will be convenient. You will be able to choose your pickup location after you sign-up.
