Wallace Gardens is a small family run CSA that prides itself in offering a variety of high quality vegetables to our members. Our small size allows us the chance to build a relationship with each of the families in our CSA. We challenge our families to try new varieties of vegetables not available in the grocery store or that they may have not tried before.
Full shares include fresh brown eggs from chickens with names, that do not spend their lives in a cage. Both the full shares and veggie shares can expect a bushel basket of produce per week at peak season. The contents and quantity of produce in the basket will change as the season progresses; depending on growing times, weather, and other farming variables. Our season runs from mid-June through October (about 14 - 16 weeks). Early season: Greens (Leaf lettuces, Kale, Spinach, and other varieties), Herbs, Radishes, Peas and Pea Pods, and more. Mid-Late Season: Sweet Corn, Tomatoes (several varieties), Peppers (several varieties), Beets, Beans, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Egg Plant, Garlic, Herbs, Kohlrabi, Onion, Peas and Pea Pods, Potatoes, Radish, Summer Squash / Zucchini, Watermelon and more. Late season: Most mid-season veggies continue until frost, add in Winter Squash varieties, Pie Pumpkins and a variety of greens return.
We grow our produce using sustainable and natural practices focussing on high quality, freshly harvested vegetables. Since the garden is located at our home we grow with concern and respect for the environment and the impact on community.
