This CSA is local-only: ALL products come from within 70 miles of Redding. The veggies and herbs are all grown at Twining Tree, and the baskets are adorned with seasonal fruit, nuts, honey, olives, and other products from local sustainable growers. Baskets are intended to feed a family of four. Winter is abundant!
Example of a late December basket: kale, radishes, carrots, beets or golden turnips, onions, garlic, persimmons or apples or kiwis or pomegranates, winter squash, mandarins, herbal tea or dried culinary herb, cilantro/parsley/other fresh culinary herb, wild salad mix, newsletter with recipes. Example of an April basket: dark leafy greens mix, carrots, beets or turnips, leeks, green garlic, bok choy, wild salad mix w/ edible flowers, pecans, sun-dried tomatoes, honey stix.
