The Homeless Garden Project is a non-profit, certified organic farm in Santa Cruz, CA. We provide job-training and transitional employment for people that face barriers to obtaining employment and housing. We have a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program that runs from June through October, that provides fresh garden produce, strawberries and flowers to our suscribers. We also have a newly opened edible plant nursery, called Homegrown Gardens, that provides fruit trees, berries, perinneal fruits and vegetables, herbs, flowers and starts for home gardeners and landscapers. We encourage volunteers and community members to come and visit the farm, located by Natural Bridges State Beach and Longs Marine lab.
Internship opportunities, farm tours, class and group visits are available as well. Despite our many successful programs, we are a community supported project, and heavily rely on donations to continue our programs and services.
