Hi! My name is Chad and I am originally from the “Big City” of Dallas, Texas. I moved to the peace & beauty of Northeast Alabama 10 years ago to lead a simpler life. I am 41 years old & enjoy being a husband & father to my wife & kids.
My hobbies include sports, outdoor activities and small scale farming. I haven’t always been interested in farming, but my Great-Grandfather raised cotton in West Texas in the early 1900’s, so I guess its in my genes.
The idea for Coldwater Farms was born from a passion about gardening/farming and the need for naturally grown fruits & veggies in our community. My hope is that we can feed our family & the families of our community a fresher, tastier, chemical-free alternative to what we are able to find in our local grocery store.
I am Sheila and married to my wonderful husband Chad and a stay at home Mom to Blake, Austin & Emma Claire. I have always enjoyed shopping in general, and I love to buy our foods from local Farmers Markets, Central Market or Whole Foods. Being a stay at home Mom, I feel like it is part of my job to help save our money while feeding my family the best foods that I can. Growing our own garden and raising our own chickens has allowed us to know what we are feeding our family while saving money on the grocery bill.
My true passion has always been photography. I love taking photos of flowers & family! The majority of the photography on our site has been taken by me. I hope you enjoy each photo as much as I enjoyed taking them!
