Our main flock of ewes are Dorset breeding, with a few Hampshire and Cheviot influences. We graze our sheep on pastures on the foothills of Placer County. We use electric net fencing to rotate our pastures quickly, and use several guardian dogs that stay with the sheep. Our lambs are born and raised in the pasture. Our poultry are pasture raised and supplemented with an organic feed and occasional produce from our kitchen and local farmers. We close the hens in at night time to protect them from predators, but otherwise they are on the ground from sun up to sun down. We have chosen the natural way to raise our family, our livestock and our poultry.
